Harbour Watch is a membership service for boat owners who want peace of mind when they can’t get down to the harbour. We carry out scheduled, checklist-based boat checks on the water, then send you time-stamped photographs and a clear written report.

2) Where do you operate?

We operate across Chichester Harbour (West Sussex / Hampshire), in locations where we have lawful access. If access is restricted, we will agree the practical approach with you in advance. We can check your boat if you keep it anywhere on/off the water, swing mooring, marina berth, pontoon, boat yard…….

3) How does membership work?

Membership gives you regular, scheduled boat checks. You receive consistent checks, documented reporting, and the option to request concierge support if you need additional support.

4) How often will my boat be checked?

Checks are carried out on a regular basis depending on your membership plan, we offer a range of packages giving fortnightly or weekly checks, ad hoc checks can also be requested for additional peace of mind or pre-post storm. We’re here to make your boat owning life much easier so can work with you to make a bespoke package to suit your needs.

After every visit you receive:

6) What do you check during a visit?

Checks are structured and checklist-based, typically covering:

  • lines and strops (condition, wear, chafe points, hardware)

Yes. Every boat is different. If you have specific priorities or want additional checks, we can agree a tailored plan based on your boat, how you use it, and where it is kept.

Depending on what you need and what is appropriate, concierge support may include:

  • sourcing and fitting straightforward, non-technical items (for example fenders, mooring lines, sheets, basic clips and similar deck equipment)

  • coordinating reputable local specialists for more technical or mechanical work (obtaining quotes, booking work, acting as your point of contact, and keeping you updated)

  • one-off trip support, such as stocking the boat with agreed supplies ahead of a trip, or arranging a pre-trip interior freshen-up clean, all reasonable requests considered

11) Do you arrange work without asking me first?

No. Nothing is ordered, booked, or arranged without your approval. You stay in control — we handle the legwork and keep you updated.
